For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi! My son just left for A school, SAR program, in Pensacola this past Saturday after his PIR on 7/21. It was great seeing him, but I really miss him and am comforted by the fact that he's got a great group of guys to go through the next part of their journey together.
Anyone out there who can offer some insight on what to expect? I've been told about some of the things they'll go through...any idea on timelines?

Hi All,
My son is currently in A school (San Antonio) he made the SAR program, can anyone tell me what that means? I know he is now working doing SOC-P at 0430 every morning in addition to his normal A school corpsman classes. He scheduled to graduate from A school on March 27th and I am not sure what will happen or where he will go after graduation. I am just looking for more information. Any help would be great. Thanks.

BethAnn My Son just classed up to his SAR training in P'cola. Every time I talk to him he tells me how "cool" all the instructors are...... even when they're yelling at him!

Hi!! I'm new to this group. My son is now in SAR training in San Diego/Coronado. Should be finishing up in the next week or so. I'm a Navy Mom of 2 sailors. My SAR is my youngest son. My oldest is in Virginia Beach INTEL and my middle son is studying at GA Tech Aero Space/Electrical Engineering. I'm a very proud Single mom.
I wish we Navy Moms had some sort of ID.... I know we are entitled to free admission to National Parks and I'm sure some other things but we have no credentials... any suggestions?

Our son is now assigned to a squarden in SD he is a Romeo and his training pipeline was 2 1/2 years from Bootcamp to the end of FRAS or FRAC.Sierra s pipeline is about shorter by I think 4 to 6 months

Just found this link when I found out my sons ship and div. It is a very exciting time for him and cannot think of a more exciting career than rescue swimmer. Moreover, all the life long friends he will meet in SARS
