Hi MN...hope all is well with you. Well, not sure it happens often but they needed 1 more of his rate (6 yr CTT) and there were only 2 available in the division. He has been loaned to the USS Barry. He says could be 60 days but contract is for 90 but due to all budget cuts coming up it could go longer as the Navy may not spend the money to send someone else over. Yes, they are on their way to the Mediterannean again....He received 1 weeks notice. His wife seems to be doing well with all of this!

@rorysmom,

Wow, does this happen often? Back to where they were deployed last yr?

Best of luck to you, your sailor and your family! We are here for you!

We had a great time in Virginia for our first welcome home celebration! It was great seeing our son, touring the Arleigh Burke and seeing all of the sights of Virginia Beach.

Son advanced today! CTT2! Am on my way to Norfolk tomorrow to see his wife...thought she might need some company for the 2nd part of the deployment!

Got an email from my son on the Burke, they should be in port in the next few days, couldn't say when or where.  They are doing well.  He says the ship is a very important part of the mission they are now on.
