forever proud, i guess just barracks. Somehow his paper work got lost and they told him it would be a 6-9 month wait an dthat he has to live on the barge. I told him just to go into the housing office everyday and bug them till they give him something. He is thinking that he might get an aparttment off base, but that me be costly. He just doesnt want to live on that barge for 6-9 months
Anyone else's sailor on a waiting list for barracks and has to live on those berthing barges, just curious.
@BocaMom - Tiger Cruises are a chance for family and friends to get a first hand experience with Navy life. I can't paste the information currently, but do a search for "Navy Tiger Cruise" on this site. There is an FAQ for the Carl Vinson from 2012 that will give you a general idea of the rules and events.
If your sailor doesn't know, he needs to ask people.
This is our first deployment. Can someone explain without going into anything against OPSEC what the Tiger cruise is. My son would be the type to not know anything about this.
Ladies, Please don't post specific dates for any movements associated with the ship per OPSEC rules. Ombudsmen with the ship say all information for the Tiger cruise is supposed to come through sailors directly to their Tigers.
If you need more information, please ask your people on the ship. OPSEC rules for reference: http://www.navy.mil/submit/display.asp?story_id=3342
Has anyone been officially notified about the Tiger Cruise? I filled out my paper work back in August and Clothing sizes.
