HOOOYAH to Katie, Steven, and James! That's great! Heard from Josh and he missed it by .39!
Lol, Kyann, me too! I have a map of Asia saved in my favorites. I pull it up all the time to see where they are!
Congrats to all the new "2's" -- including mine!!
Congratulations to Stephen!
Bravo Zulu to Katie!!!
Our sailor is now YN3 on the first attempt! So proud of him!!!
So proud of our daughter Katie, she is now a DC2 (SW/AW)!!!
Hello all, I guess you have all seen they are in the Andaman Sea, I had to look up that location:
Thank you everyone for the well wishes and prayers for my Mom, it really means a lot to me. She is home from the hospital. So thankful my sister is able to be there. I talked to my Mom today and she was doing well. Said she doesn't like the walker so she is walking w/o it. I hope my sis doesn't catch her! Mom it was holding her back and too much bother, that she needs to get stronger! I tease her she is a TIMEX, takes a lickin and keeps on tickin! She is 93, God bless her, but has become much weaker in the last year as well. :-( We are trying to get home quicker than planned and I will take another month off work (PT only) and be there to help her out.
I don't know the exact dates for leave in general, only Steven's and he gets the second leave. I think there are two. I don't know anything about Thanksgiving. Kyann, I don't want to put it here, I will send you a FB private message.
I hope to prepare Steven's box when I get home and get it off with at lleast some fudge and his favorite Christmas cookies....
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving.
so, exactly when are the december leaves? are there 2? is there one in november? i'm new to this kinda stuff, so, please, fill me in. thanks!
i, too, sent a box to hunter in the mail today. his birthday is dec 6, hoping it makes it there for that. we'll celebrate here, too, if he gets to come home.
Sharon, prayers and hugs for your mom and your family. Hope she is feeling better!
TrueBlue, Jesse has flights for mid-December and I talk to him every day on email and he hasn't said anything about the possibility of not making is flight. Don't worry (at least not yet).
Kyann, keep the faith! I'm hoping and praying Hunter can come home too!
Mailing a box in the morning to the ship. Hope it gets there before 1st leave, but if not, it'll keep. Just little stockings of candy for him and his shop friends and some of his snacks. (including his hostess mini muffins. haven't had the heart yet to tell him about hostess).
Folgers, Hallmark, Budweiser -- their commercials get me every year!!
