Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Thank you Sharon and Hunter's Mom... I am hoping too... my daughter will be coming down this weekend too.. will be the first time in a long time that I have had all my babies home :)

that is nice to know, sharon.  thanks for the info.  i got on amazon the other day, and it pops up as hunter's...aw  anyway, i will check it out more for the free shipping, etc...

sharon, i bet it is hard to view the wall.  it's hard for me and i don't have anyone that was close to me who was there.  the wall is such an honor, though.

thank you all.. this has been a busy few days.. and we are hoping his brother makes it back before he leaves.. he is on a sub and I just got an email that he received his Dolphins.. best week ever for my boys ..excuse me men :)

i keep checking every day to catch a glimpse of hunter, but not yet.  :( 

i am loving all the pix, tho. 

hope you are enjoying your son, danagirl.  i would have driven any length to get my son, too! 

not too much going on here, just husking that indian corn...woo hoo.  had a rainy weekend here.  the Vietnam traveling memorial wall was in the county i live in this past weekend.  we went to see it 1 night, then attended closing ceremonies yesterday.  25 balloons were let up in the air signifying the 25 pickaway county servicemen and women who lost their lives.  touching!!!  there are 50,000+ names engraved on that wall.  if you ever get the chance to see it, it's really neat.  we've never gone to see the one in washington, so this was really neat for us.

update: well Friday, my son finally finishes his checkout, and he calls and said mom they won't reroute my trip, can you come get me.. what am I to say no..lol.. so I drove out to Pensacola and picked him up.. Will have two weeks with him, then have to drive him back.. it will be the saddest trip back home.. (6 hour drive)  :(  going to make the best of these two weeks and hopefully his brother will be in next week to see him .. Have a safe Labor Day weekend everyone .

No, I'm far enough away, but my son is in Pensacola and he said they have them on lockdown.. still he said he should be home Friday :) I do have family in Louisiana though, they assure me they are fine.
