Marlese,

I will check with the CO when it would be appropriate to do this.  It requires giving the parents in the states enough time to get the envelopes to me prior to the boat departing.  I'll see what we can come up with.

Marlese,

Yes, the boat does half-way boxes.  I collect them before the boat goes underway and they leave with the boat. It's usually the wives that send them for the married guys.  I have not received any for the single guys before, but I have not solicited them either.  I need to find out from the CO if they would be okay with my soliciting boxes for the single sailors.  They have to get creative with the storage of the boxes, because there is not a lot of space to work with.

Hi Ladies!  I thought I would add to Marlese's post.  The following is the youtube video to accompany T'was the Night Before Christmas-Submarine Style.

Hi Ladies!  The command is now underway.  Please remember OPSEC and do not discuss boat movements or speculations of when they will or will not be returning.  I am hoping to get a newsletter out soon, but I am still waiting for input from key components at this point.

Hi Ladies,

I shared it on the Ombudsman facebook page.  If you aren't a friend on the Ombudsman page, please request to be added.  Send your friend request with your name and your relationship to your sailor on the USS BUFFALO (also mention this site) and I will try to add you as quickly as I can.  Thanks!

Good Morning Ladies,

The boat has returned and hopefully you will hear from your sons soon.  It is expected that they will be busy while they are home, so please be patient.  If you have a facebook page, Submarine Squadron 15 has posted pictures of the boat returning.  Please like their page to see them.
