USS Lake Champlain

Just arrived home after the deployment. We were on the ship by 6:30 and they sailed at 9:00. The departure was very low key compared to others. Not very many people on the pier. They left early and manned the rails in their coveralls which may be why there was very little drama on the pier. The Captain endeared herself to all by coming onto the pier just before they sailed. She shook hands and spent time chatting with everyone, one by one.

Hello out there!  This group hasn't been active in more than 2 years. My son just joined the USS Lake Champlain and I'm curious if there are any current members with loved ones on this ship.
