I got it wrong - he is going to the uss connecticuit. So, I won't stay in this group - but will keep all of your sailors in my prayers.
Hi Heebsmom: He served on the Pennsylvaina before. Re-enlisted. Maybe they will serve togther. That would be a wonderful blessing. There is a group Bangor/Bremerton/Kitsap Sailors and Family and they were a great help with many things. Not too acive lately. You'll want to ask Mark is is a local and incredibly helpful. Our sailor rented, and used the resources at the base - I think. I have to warn you - I don't know very much - our sailor would get an award for the shortest conversations on record, as well as taking security to the maximum level - I know next to nothing. There is also a WA/OR mom's group that are very active.
Our sailor (Nuke) will be joining the Seawolf this fall. He has been in ten years, and his family live in Poulsbo. They have two girls (17 & 4). Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Praying for your sailors.
Comment by Ima Navy Mom on August 18, 2011 at 1:01am The USS Seawolf is a wonderful sub! When it heads out to sea we will miss our son's, but will know they are finally doing and growing in what they wanted to do!
Comment by Lauren - Sub Wife - Bangor, Wash on February 10, 2011 at 10:04pm Thank you Pat!
That information helps a lot. It seems to be an unpredictable boat but drydock sounds lovely!
