It is FPO:

Sailor's rank and name
Department, (i.E., Executive Dept., etc., if you know it)
USS Truxtun DDG 103
APO-AE 09588-1309

I have sent packages about every two weeks, and my son has received them all.

The address I was given had FPO, not APO. Confused again! This was the ombudsman also. Help?

Can someone give me the correct FPO address. My son gave me one zip code and the ombudsman gave me another.  Thanks

Thank you, Chris. I feel a lot better about it now. One of the things we sent was deer jerky, vacuum sealed. I told my son to make sure it wasn't rancid before he ate it, but he said he would eat it anyway also :0). I know they are not starving him, but they just love a taste of home! Thanks again!

Hey Ginnysue, the tracking only goes as far as the post office before the pkg leaves the US as I understand. Yes, it can take 6 weeks, my son has received them anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks, so it just depends when it hits the location that is delivered to the ship by chopper. The cookies I made were, of course, in the 6week box, so they were so dried out. (But he said they still ate them!)

Is it common for a package to take four weeks plus to be delivered? I looked up a tracking# for a package I sent May 12, and the last info they had was that it left Chicago on the fifteenth?that doesn't tell me anything! My son still hasn't received it. Thank you
