Hello all new Navy Moms. Here is a link to a number of pictures of the 55th Cardinal Company recruits. I hope you can see your sailor recruit in them. ;) I have had the honor and pleasure of joining my son at the pre game picnics prior to the swearing in ceremonies at the game for the past several years. He is the U.S. Navy Recruiter for Champaign, IL which is part of the St. Louis Recruiting District. The photos are really neat. Enjoy! https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10151687358328649.1073741...

I wish I would have known about this group sooner! Last week was bittersweet, but I have never been so proud of my son, Adam. If you have a photo of the guys at the Soldier's Memorial, he is in the front on the far right. His small stature paid off in that we always knew where he was in the group no matter how far away. Hope your families are coping well with the separation. I didn't realize the grief I would feel letting Adam go.

What an amazing day! I got my call at 9:49, he sure did sound tired. Hope you all made it back to your homes safely. What I didn't realize is I was standing right by you Proud Mamma at soliders memorial, you can't say we didn't try to stand our ground on the 2nd step. :)

I have been told that we can't go on the field, but we can go down close to the field. Hopefully we will all see each other at the picnic and then we could then go stand together to take pictures.

Yes I have heard the same thing from Cody. They can leave hotel they just have to be back my 930 and in rooms by 10. And he also told me to pick up bags at hotel tomorrow night or MEPS building on Thursday as they still have to do their drug screen. I was going to wait til my youngest son got out of his 1st day of school at 330 but now I know we can spend time with our boys since we have about a 41/2 hour drive from Baxter springs Ks I want to get there in time to be able to spend with him. And as for going on the field to take pics I would love that but doubt they let us :-(

Im staying at Drury Inn Union Station and will be coming in from Springfield MO. My son said that we CAN go spend time with them at the hotel. Which is a good thing. His recruiter told him I could get his extra clothes at the picnic, but my son told me today that's not the case, that I will have to get it from the hotel. He also said he was at MEPS today and did a bunch more paperwork and urine test tomorrow morning and that there are 89 of them in the Cardinal Company. It was nice to talk to him, and I feel a whole lot better today. I was wondering the same thing about being able to get close for pics.

We will be leaving in the AM to head to St. Louis from Little Rock, it's about a 61/2 hour drive with my husband and I it will be a 10-12 hour drive.  I can't wait to my son and spend sometime with him, if it's like it was when my older son was in St Louis we will have until about 9pm to spend with him.  Where is everyone staying?  we are staying at the Drury Plaza Hotel at the Arch  I hope we get to go on field or stand close to get pics of our sons. does anyone know?  Everyone safe travel and see you all there.
