Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Enjoy your kids while they are at home. The time flies by and then they are gone!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Justin did not pass his final PFA. He failed the run by 45 seconds. Because of this he has been placed into the FIT program at Ship 6. I wish I knew more. My hopes is that they will continue to let him try to pass the PFA and run battlestations with another DIV. If this happens in the next few days he could still graduate on Friday. All is unknown....I hope to hear from his soon.
I am glad to hear that Josh's foot is healing and that he will begin training again soon. Keep me updated on his progress. Jennifer
Dawn how are you? Justin got sent to Ship 6 today :( Is that where Josh is? I am so sad. I hope that he will be able to pass PFA still and go on to PIR still on the 13th. Thinking of you...keep in touch. Jennifer
HI Dawn, I'm glad you heard from your son. I think it's different for everybody but we only received five letters and two phone calls from our son. Can't recall those times he had called. The first one might have been two or three weeks after he had left. I do remember that the first time he was on the phone for about twenty or so minutes while his second call that came later was only five minutes. The phone calls may have been special privileges because his division had done well during that time.
HI Dawn, Don't forget to join Boot Camp Mom's. You might even meet someone there who has a son in the same division as yours or same PIR date. A letter will come soon enough or even a phone call. Yes, your son will do just fine and the time will pass before you know it. Hang in there! Take care, Karen.
We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.
HI Dawn & Welcome!
You will find encouragement, support, and lots of info here at N4M.
What is your son Josh doing in the Navy? There are many groups on the site to join. My friend and I would love to visit your store but we are to far away. We love to browse through antique & specialty gift shops in our area. It's sad though within the last couple of years most of our favorite ones have gone out of business. Hope to hear back from you, take care, Blessings, Karen in CA.
