I am a RN working for Emeritus Senior Living, I am the Regioinal Director of Quality Services. I have one child , a son named Zachary Williams he left for the Navy 4-22-08. My husband Rodney was also in the Navy.
I am here to support or represent my:
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was confused, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
You have to let your children grow up spread their wings and be there when they need you.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was the best decision he/she could have made

That's wonderful, Congratulations again. Is that graduation something !!!! I loved the flag bearers.
You said the weather wasn't bad, you were lucky. Chicago was crazy when we went. Then the tornado warnings....that was fun.!!! One night we had to be evacuated, the tornado was a few blocks aways !!
Other than the crazy weather, from what we saw, Chicago is a beautiful state. But I'm glad to be home.
I know that "goodbye" on Sunday was hard to do. Now we don't know when we see our children again. One mother wrote me, her son is stationed in Japan, it's been three years since she's seen him.
Just keep in prayer that our babies don't get flown over to the middle east. It's time to end this, bring our troops home already !!! I don't know what more the President wants to accomplish. Bin Laddin is laughing at us, it's 6 years already.
Anyway, I'm so glad your weekend with Zac was wonderful. I know he looked handsome !! I'm still waiting for my older daughter to download the pictures, so I can have on MY Page.
You take care, please keep in touch.
Congratulations on Zac's graduation. My name is Barbara, also a New York Navy mom, from the Bronx.
My daughter Kim just graduated June 6, 2008.
How did you like the crazy Chicago weather ?
I'm just glad the Boot Camp is over. Kim was suppose to go to Virginia for A School, but was told she might stay in Chicago. I haven't heard anything since Liberty weekend.
Well you take care, I hope to hear from you. Congratulations again.
Make sure and go to the June 12th Gathering Event and RSVP...okay? And leave a comment on there with how many will be attending with you. I can't wait to meet everyone! And I can't wait to see my baby boy!
