Sounds good about our own group for Nuke/Charleston. I tried to get on the one that is already here and the people were not helpful (which is why I'm still on OCS graduates lol). Look forward to possibly meeting your son in January. I feel bad that my husband isn't with a majority of people from his class but there will be 2 other people from 27-09 in January.

Like I said, we are from/in Saginaw. Kate was born and raised here, while I'm from Royal Oak. I came to Saginaw for my first reaching job (four years four different systems as millages kept failing) then worked for Delphi where I retired after 30 years. We raised all three of our sons here in Mid Michigan. Josh (our OC) is our middle son.

Nice pictures Kathy - I have no ideal how to add pictures. I need to have my husband help me add a profile picture. I did finally figure out how to do it on facebook though. My son was proud of me for that.

Thanks for the reply. I was beginning to wonder if I had done something incorrect when I started this discussion last week! Anyway, my son is in class 25-09 And will be graduating this Friday. My husband, daughters & I will be flying to Newport this Wed. Can't wait to see John after 12 weeks! He will be in nuke school in Nov., so I don't know if you & I will run into each other, but then again, you never know! I"ll report back after graduation. Thanks again!

We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
