Don't forget to make at least changes 3 and 4.

Join AECF - FCs and ETs; your recruit will discover his rating while in BC, usually near the end of BC. "A" School is in GL, so you will also want to join Great Lakes A School Q&A and GL A-school moms. You can also check out the Training Support Center (TSC) Great Lakes Facebook Page.

The Rating Information Card for AECF can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/aecf.pdf. The Rating Information Card for Electronics Technician (ET) can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/et.pdf and the one for Fire Controlman (FC) can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/fc.pdf. (If you get the security warning, it is safe to go there.)

You will be able to enjoy extra time with your Sailor following PIR. (See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend.)

What is your Sailor's rating (job/specialty) and/or where is he stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to.

It's not a good idea to post a pic of your future Sailor every time you post. See change 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your future Sailor.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June. You will meet others with loved ones leaving this week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together. Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC. I also suggest that you begin checking out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what will soon be happening and what to expect. Be sure to join your PIR group once you get The Form Letter.

Saw your message on SAWife11's page about having to work until your 60!  Just wanted to let you know that it's really not so bad. My husband and I are both 60+ (we had our sons late in life). We enjoy our jobs and we still make $$.
