amjaei,

You mentioned in your post on the daughters 2 page that you would put up a picture but didn't know how.  Here's how:  save the picture on your computer and remember what file it's in.  In the comment box click on the second little icon box at the top, it says image. It will open a box that says from my computer choose file.  Open the file that contains your picture and it will upload in that box.  You can choose if you want it centered or on the left or right of the page. One thing I suggest is that before you post, change the size of the picture to 300 pixels.  You can type 300 into the box there.  Otherwise sometimes they come out distorted.  Click ok and your picture will show up in the comment box.  You can add any comments before you upload the picture or after.  Then click Add Comment and there's your picture!!!!  Hope this works for you!!

amjaei,

You are so very welcome!!!  I'm so glad the website has been helpful for you!!  In answer to your question, I'm not sure about all A schools but for the most part they will find out their next assignment just before graduation.  For one thing, the detailers won't know exactly what is available until the date of graduation is near.  Has she put in a dream sheet yet?  That is where they list duty stations in order of preference.  If she is top of her class she should get first choice and first pick!!!  Congratulations on her achievements so far and be sure to let us know what she gets!!!!

Hi it is nice to meet you too. Yes this has been hard on me too. This is the first time my son has ever been away from me. But I am very proud of him. And yes I am planning on going to the meet and greet.

Hi amjaei, How are you? Glad to hear that you got to talk to your daughter. I was so happy that I also got to hear from my son and received a letter from him.  It eased my mind to know he was doing good.

Make at least change 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your recruit.

I also suggest changes 6 and 7.

You may also want to make change 4 if that lovely tat can easily be associated with you or your recruit given her contracted rating.

Join, or at least check out, Corry Station IT Moms, IT A & C School, INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN - IT, ITOF, IT-ATF, ITS, Sailors at Corry Station holding or in school and Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!!.

The Rating Information Card for IT can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/it.pdf and https://www.cool.navy.mil/usn/enlisted/rating_info_cards/its.pdf (ITS). (If you get the security warning, it is safe to go there.)

Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR, but may fly out on Sunday due to flight availability issues. Plan to leave on Sunday if you are able. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Since IT is one of the Spook ratings, the information within the Page, OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile), will be important for you.
