I'm glad Bobby is feeling better. Matt also sounded better in his last few letters. I know this week and last week were the hard weeks (Matt said when he called almost 2 weeks ago now). I'm praying that once they make it through this week, it'll be even better for them. We do miss hearing from him, but no news is good news, right?! We're all doing well. The house is clean, we've been doing school, we've had swim lessons all summer. The good schedule has helped time move a little faster, but it really is helping that we'll be leaving the end of next week and headed to the midwest to see my sister for a few days, then off to Chicago! Hope the next 16 days move quickly for you!

Wow, about her husband being sick. He'll sure be in my prayers. Matt said he wants to know all the details so, I've been trying to keep him up to date. I too have had a trip to the ER. I thought I'd broken, my foot, but it was just a bad sprain. That's not too fun to hobble around chasing my two kids. I'm guessing I'll hear from Matt about that in this weeks letter, since I wrote him about it early last week. I hear you on the ups and downs in the letters. Matt is starting to sound more like himself. Have you heard if your daughter is feeling any better? I hope so. Yay for 17 days!!! :)

We had the same A2E scare. Matt took a class that was approved, but then they said it's not approved, so he'll be taking an extra class in the fall. At least they let him stay in. I'm so excited we're less than 3 weeks away from seeing Matt! We've been married almost 10 years and we're just not used to being apart. This is such a great opportunity for him, and stability for our family. We're thankful even though we miss him so much! I'm sure it's hard since your daughter is splitting her letters and calls between you and her husband. I have a bracelet that reminds me to pray for Matt, and I'm praying for you and your family too. It's nice to be praying for other sailors with Matt as well. See you in less than 3 weeks!!

I think Matt talked to one of the professors on the phone with an issue he was having, and he said he looked forward to meeting Matt and the other A2E Sailors up at Great Lakes. When Matt asked why they would be up there, he said he would have them fill out paperwork and get registered I think before they got down to FL. This is all from memory cause I can't find it in an email, and we kept all the emails having to do with A2E. I have our plans firmed up, we'll be staying at the Navy Lodge up in Great Lakes, but we will be attending the Meet and Greet at the Ramada. See you in a little over three weeks.I'm still praying your daughter feels better, I'm sure you haven't heard how she's doing. I had to go to Luke AFB Monday to get my ID, and I thought about you and your family and said prayers. I thought I was closer to where you live being in the Valley, than up here in the Mountains.

I'm so sorry she's sick. Matt said that missing a day or two is rough. He said he's hoping the A2E professors won't be coming these next two weeks, cause they're going to be the hardest. I'll be praying your daughter feels better or goes to see the Dr. I'm sure it's hard for your daughter's husband. I can't imagine being married only a month before basic training. That's got to be rough. We're going to drive up to PIR. We're going to visit family on the way up and then again on the way down. We don't have a schedule, since I homeschool, so we can take a few weeks to visit people on the way there, and then see Matt then visit people on the way home. You're all in my prayers.

I'm pretty sure I met your daughter at MEPS. Matt was so excited to know someone in A2E. I thought it was crazy that they've got a mixed division, but Matt said it's working well for him so far. How are you doing with your daughter off at basic? I think we've gotten to a good place with Matt gone. We miss him, but it's not a daily sadness right now. They say it takes about 2 weeks to get used to being without them and I'd say it was about that for us. I'll see you around on here then I guess! :)
