Hi Jana. Thanks for sending a friend request. So, where is your son stationed? Is he still in Naples? I guess you probably know that my husband and I are in Virginia Beach, VA. and that we open our home to the sailors(and soldiers, marines as well) on the weekends. We've been doing this for almost 14 years.

Hi Jana - I know your son is leaving today and I just wanted to stop by and say I'm thinking of you!

Hi Jana - Thanks so much for sharing your plans about dropping off your son.  My son sounds very similar.  He didn't want me going to MEPs or taking him out for dinner.  He has since talked to his recruiter and has decided that it isn't all that out of the ordinary  - other recruits do it and I promised to have him back on time.  So, as of today I've gotten the ok for both dinner and he's even said he would be fine if I went down to MEPs to see him sworn in - so YAY!  He doesn't ship out to BC until the end of September but I know the time is going to fly by.

I've added you as a friend - hope that is ok.  Looking forward to getting to know you and supporting you through the whole experience.

Oh, and feel free to ask me anything. I didn't even know where the MEPS office was until we were leaving that morning!

I'm happy to help and share my experience!
