Hi Tami ! Hope your surgery went well. We received a letter from our daughter last Friday. She's fine and seems to be getting adjusted. Only not so good news is she fail in swim test but she said she will do another one. She was terrified by the jump and she said the water was cold. Hope she pass the next one. No call from her yet.

Hi Tami,

My son is SHIP 02 DIV 915.  I received a phone call yesterday and he sounded good but at times he would get a little sad sounding.  He had much concern for his section.  He said, his section wasn't together as a team.  Im hoping that the next phone call will be much better.  I am so glad to be in touch with another mom.

Hope to hear from you again soon.

Make changes 3 and 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

The Page, 800 and 900 Divisions, within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will be of interest to you since you have a recruit in a performing division. I believe that Division 916 is Sticks/Flags.

Hi Tami,

I have started a Navy scrapbook and that's been fun!  There are so many cool 'navy' things at Hobby Lobby.  I'm keeping copies of all the letters I send and all the ones I get back.

Still get sad every now and then but less and less now.  Am hanging out waiting for that long phone call or first real letter....

It's good to know so many others have gone through this and they all survive!

If you know your SR's PIR date, go to http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that. If you don't know the PIR date, join the group, DEP-Leavin' for Boot Camp in January, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening.
