FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Two Years and Going Strong

Just wanted to throw a little information out there, and had no idea where to put it, so I decided to just drop it here.

Getting easier

Hey everyone one....As the days pass Im getting better at this Navy thing.. My son has been calling me a lot lately..The one call that got to me was on Christmas.. At 7pm my phone rang and it was my baby..I was so Happy.He even called me today..He talked to his brothers and little sister..We miss him so much.. But we are so proud of him..I pray you all a wonderful New Year..

Form letter

My GOD! I received my letter today..And reading I got a little teary eyed..Now Im wondering if I should mail all the letters I wrote at one time..What did you all do..It's like a stepping stone..I waited for the box then letter now graduation..Getting closer! Also Im confused as to why the letter sat's 4 guess but the letter only have 3 spaces for name...It also sucks because I have 3 children and a,hubby..

Wow!I got the box already.. My son left Monday and today is Thursday.. I so can't wait for the form letter.. I miss him so much..Yes I cried when I got it..The fruit of my womb..Is a Navy Man..excited

Not on ship

I was just wondering about the adress if my son will not be on the ship will he still be able to get mail...I've notice that all the people are saying the ship their child is on and the div in the address..My son job is a builder

My baby is gone

Monday my sailor left for boot camp.12/8/14..One of the hardest days of my life..I was crying so much..In fact i am still crying! I know it's for the best and our new normal must start...I miss him so much.I can't wait to get the letter so I could write him....I got the famous call..Ma I've made it..They will be sending my stuff home in a box. No longer a DEPper Mom...but now a Bootcamp Mom

Well...yesterday was the BIG day that I turned my son over into the hands of the Navy.  It was an emotional day and really LONG for all of us.  We woke up early and got ourselves ready and then headed over to MEPS to meet up with my son.  There were 4 kids shipping out that day.  2 Navy and 2 Air Force.  The other Navy recruit was from our recruiting office.  The swearing in was really neat and we got to take LOTS of photos.  They even let us take pictures of our son signing his contract.…

today's the day

I said goodbye to my boyfriend last night.  He swore in this morning and is waiting to get on a plane in a few hours. I am pretty upset, which from what I am reading is totally normal now.  He is my best friend and this is the best (most positive) relationship I have ever been in.  We are both 33 years old and have been living together.  I am trying to figure out some sort of a new routine and figuring out what goals I would like to set for myself over the next 8 weeks.  I am an artist and a…
