OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

This is it.

Well here we go my day has come. My SR leaves Sept 4 from Little Rock AR. My feelings are all over the place I cant seem to contain them I am so happy and proud but at the same time im asking myself what i have i gotten myself into. I know I raised my son to be independent but im not ready i just want a little more time everything has gone so fast. I just keep wondering if I have done the right things in life sorry for my pitty party just feel a little better when i write things down.

what a day

had a wonderful day today with my family only 2 more saturdays left til michael leaves going so quickly we went to Pea Ridge a civil war battlefield in Arkansas then a wonderful picnic thanks to my mom. nothing written in stone

just when i think things will slow down my youngest son had decided to go full steam ahaed to complete his Eagle for boy scouts before his brother leaves for basic in Jan.  It is doable but im aftraid i will be put in a straight jacket before it all done with lol.  so looks like he will do his board of review if he passes then the project begins he is so siked because michael will be here every step of the procees and will help him. wow the next 7months will be so busy not sure if i will…

HE DID IT GOT HIS 2ND CHOICE

After everything he has been doing to get what he wanted from the Navy he did it. Im so proud his job is operations specialist  the only thing he is upset about is he now has to wait til Jan to leave I am personally ok with it I get him for halloween, his brothers birthday, thanksgiving and Christmas oohh and New Years. Here we go

Michael is off to Little Rock to retake his ASVAB to raise his score a little more he did awesome on his prep tests raised his previous score another 20 points on the area he needed to improve for MA but now he says he may want to check out more on something with more science, so proud of him taking the time to do what he needs to do to improve his life. We will know Tuesday his official leave date for GL. This is going to be a long 3 days. What a ride this has been and its not over yet .

HE DID IT

Well it is official Michael graduated from High School May 11,2012.  It is so hard to believe he did it. I am so proud of him we had so much fun had a family bbq dinner at his favorite place Famous Daves in Branson MO. then had family and friends over to the house before graduation took some wonderful pictures, graduation was amazing. awesome day

Prom night was a success I was so happy for michael. Michael and his friends planned to just go stag and do there own thing it worked they had so much fun. time is flying

When Michael leaves in August

Just talked to Michaels Rec. looks like I can take him to Little Rock Ar. for his swearing in at there office in August. I just have to have him at the hotel at the time requested. the trip

Michael and his band mates are on a trip of a lifetime to Washington DC. He is so excited they are playing infront of our national monuments and they have a full schedual. It will be so amazing for him and his band mates. things are going so fast its insaine.

movies 2012

Went with Michael to see Act of Valor wow awesom movie seems 2012 is the year for Navy movies. Battleship looks pretty cool comes out May 12.  Ever sense Michael signed his papers it seems we are seeing Navy everywhere we turn looks like the decision he made was the right one. i made it

Well I did it made it through my sons 18th birthday with out breaking down to many times. He had a great day got him a dairy queen blizzard cake his favorite chocolate extreme. His papa took him for there dinner by themselves, Saturday were going as a family. It was a wonderful day. Im so glad I was able to spend it with my son.

nice day

Well Saturday was a wonderful day. Michael went to his last Klondike Scout District event to support his brother who was choosen to be in the OA (Michael is also a member) Joseph was so excited that his brother took off from work to be there they had so much fun then Michael will be going to the ordeal to again support his brother. sad morning

went into my sons room he was sleeping away then it was an abstacle course tripping over his games, xbox turtles, picking up clothes then i thought wow soon i will going into a empty room not tripping over anything or picking up clothes. a wave of sadness came over me so at 5am I started doing laundry and cleaning the house its what i do best when i have to think about something else. papa knows best

michael just had his first mandatory meeting today (dep) i think its called he was laughing and said everything they talked about his papa already went over with him lol his papa is retired CW3 in the Army. Michael couldnt believe how much his papa knows even though he is Army lol. Gotta love the bond a grandfather and grandson share i know i do. When Michael leaves I wont be the only one upset luckily he has his other grandson Joseph still here he starts high school in the fall.

what a month this will be

My son Michael turns 18 this month wow it went by so fast. He has his first DEP meeting Tuesday not sure what to expect he is excited but a little nervous about it. looking at the sites for the plan

High School Scrapbook

Started crying again today im such a girl. Started working on my sons senior scrapbook for High School found a really nice Navy scarpbook at Michaels I will be picking up to start on that one for his military years.
