OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I left info for you on your My Page. You will get used to the new normal before long and by the time you do have a Sailor rather than a Recruit (sometime in the last week before PIR) you will be able to exchange those sad tears for tears of pride. You will get "the box" later this week and then The Form Letter next week and that will help since you will then be able to send off those letters you have surely begun and start planning for PIR since you will have the date.
