For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My Baby just left for RTC,

My son just left for RTC. You would think I would be use to this, my oldest son graduated RTC in May of 2006, and since that time, is now in the Army stationed in Germany. But this is my youngest, and we are very close. I am happy for him. He loves the medical field and will be a Corpsman. His dreams are all coming through. But it is still hard already not having him here to talk to. I am happy and sad all at the same time.

Comment by Loralee on March 6, 2014 at 11:46am: Psalm 150; my son was set to leave May 6 also. We thought he had a couple more months, but he ended up leaving this week. We had a week and a half when we found out he was leaving earlier. He was ready and excited and nervous. It is a strange feeling being happy for him and sad for me at the same time. I find myself tearing up, but not actually crying. God has him, and I trust Him to take care of him.

It's good you come here. It helps a lot. My sister, Annabel Lee's son left on Feb 4th and she is going through the very same thing. She can't go down the aisle in the grocery that has beef jerky. Each day she has gotten stronger and happier. You will do that too. You can get instant support by coming to the Main Room and chatting with the amazing ladies there. Sunday night we all know will be a challenge, because he is the one that got all of us watching "The Walking Dead". That should be interesting.

Comment by Connie on March 27, 2014 at 12:01pm: My baby is due in soon from his first deployment on the Bulkeley. He was in boot camp June 15 2012, left only two weeks after HS graduation. Now he has been to Syria area for 8 months. His sister, is in the Air Force, she has been in South Dakota- Ellsworth,, then Ramstein, in Germany, and presently is deployed in Qatar, Al Udied AFB. I tell you it is hard keeping up. But I plan to be in norfolk for Colin's ship homecoming. So excited and so proud of both of my children.
