My son leaves for boot camp on Tuesday morning. I knew this would hard, but I have been crying for days and he hasn't even left yet. I am so proud and so sad. How did the last 18 years go by so fast? How on Earth are we expected to let them go?

Hi Anne, it's hard now, and your going to have days that are really tough.  Count your Fridays once he ships, and trust me by the time PIR roles around, your going to be so proud and can't wait to see him.. trust me that first hug is the best hug you'll ever receive!  Hugs and hang tight, BC is a rollercoaster.

My daughter left Tues 8/20.  She is in Great Lakes, Illinois.  It's tough, knowing I can't talk to her for weeks.
