I have a bit of an urgent question ladies!! My boyfriend was able to get some extra tickets from his friends in his division for his best friend's mom, his biological mom, his brother in law, and his sister. As it turns out, his best friend's mom and his real mom can't make the trip. How can we change the tickets to someone else's name that needs one (we have a large group coming to support him =) ) if the tickets aren't even our recruits? Is there any way? Or can we somehow do it when we get there? Or is it a lost cause?

Thanks Sobe for recent update. Luckily, I just mailed a "new" phone card w/100 minutes last week. My concern is that we'll already be in Chicago when he completes BS on 7/28 (we fly out same day) and if call is on Thursday, he'll have to call our cell #, hope we have good reception when he calls...wow, this will be a long 7 days, thankfully N4Ms helps tremendously, thank you all ! thanks for all the advice and support ladies. I truly don't know what I would have done without N4M's. I'll do my best to make it to the Meet & Greet, I too would love to meet everyone. However I'm not traveling alone and come Friday I'm letting my son call the shots for a change.Love and blessings to all of you and your Sailors/ Sailors2B!!! I've already started looking into "A" school groups to join

Momce - The "I'm a Sailor" calls after BS-21 don't start until around 1:30 CST and could be as late as 6pm CST. They do lots of things before they let them call home. Eat, clean up, go to capping ceremony (not sure if they are done in this order thou). Some have watch duty or other jobs they must do too. AND..... there are only so many pay phones, so they have to wait their turn. They "generally" get about 45 minutes to make as many calls as they can. MAIL them a new phone card TOMORROW if your concerned that their's is running low. Those cards come with lots of minutes, but when you use them at a pay phone, it sucks a lot of the time away just to connect.

Sue and Momce,
Please try to come to the meet-n-greet. You guys are about the only other ones on from Div 259. Don't worry about ribbons or shirts. Just come if you get the chance. I'm looking forward to meeting you both.

Hi Sobe
I forgot I had a "quick" question. How soon after BS did you rec call from your recruit announcing "I'm a sailor"? 7/28 is BS for our son. Thank you. Momce

If you have a I-pass for your sate, or any kind of automatic toll pass for your state.. you can bring that and put in your car. They are universal. We drove to NC last year and it worked in all states.. Kinda cool, (and they say big brother is not watching ha ha ha) Just dont forget it in your rental car.

Sue - how about adding "chargers for your cell phone, laptop, camera, videocamera"! You mentioned your sailors chargers, but you'll need yours too!

CHANGE - bring plenty of change for all the toll booths in that area. Anywhere from .30 to 1.50 to drive on those freeways back there.
