For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My daughter-in-law has sailor dresses for her girls (not actually new dresses). She is taking them tomorrow to have SSBorchers embroidered on them.

One of the cool things for me at PIR was noticing how tall my son was. I thought he had grown while in bc, turns out, he finally learned how to stand tall and proud! I was used to that hunched over teenager for so many years that I don't think I ever knew how tall he really was! A difference of two inches for sure.

Tolls vary in prices. Unfortunately that is the best answer I can give. You don't always have to have exact change unless coming off the interstate. Sorry I can't be more specific on this. Ex-Governor "Blago" can be thanked for some of this although Illinois has always been so committed to charging toll fees.

Crystal, what an absolutely wonderful birthday present.
Someone talked about tolls, way back and they said bring change and I think to stay in the Lefthand lane. does anyone know roughly how much the tolls are. i.e. 75 cents, 3 dollars each, etc

Checking in, hope all is doing well. Just wanted to share, my Sailor mailed his pictures home and I just received them. Crazy how I feel like it is a sneak peak of what I will see Thursday. The individuals are in blue uniform and the group pic is the white uniform. They all look amazing! There are 9 flags in the pic What an incredible way to end my day! Still gotta pack, leaving in the a.m. Has anyone else received pics?
