Thanks for clearing that up for me.. I was so confused and I didn't want to offend her by questioning it.

Dyl'sMom: I was thinking the same thing: water=sailor, land=soldier, even though we know that sailors are on the land as well.
Comment by diannep on September 4, 2010 at 11:03pm
nicole: They probably will start calling early afternoon on Thurs.
M&G is 6-8 at Ramada.

Hi Kelly! I looked it up on the computer and it says: •A soldier is a member of the land component of national armed forces*. So I take it that if they are land forces they are soldiers and sea/ocean/waterway forces would be sailor. It's a guess anyway.....

Kelly - I'm not positive, but they're considered as ALL as "troops" and as soldiers for army. airmen for airforce. and sailors for navy.
marines i am not sure of, nor coast guard.

I hope so!
GOSH. CONGRATS 943.
THATS SUCH AN HONOR!!
Cannot wait to meet all of you...
Now..I won't have a ribbon..or a tag on..but I will wear something BRIGHT.
Watch out for an Aqua Blue long sleeved shirt, that will probably be me!!:)
I also may possibly be wearing a "United Township Panthers" Hoodie, it will be gray, if it is cold. What time does M&G start again??

Question for all of you.. Army Navy Air Force Marines... are they all Soldiers..
I was in the AIr Nat'l Guard long time ago.. and I was referred to as Airman, but we are soldiers. Soldiers fight, protect, rescue.. help.. Airman is the branch I am in.. Because I told my Navy daughter.. that I was proud of her. That is going to be a tuff soldier.. etc... in my letters to her, and she sent me a letter "correcting" me that she is not s soldier, she a Sailor. She said that they are not soliders.. !!! Am I missing something?

Congrats 943! hooyah!!
We are almost there!! No letters here since Monday, and she was writing everyother day. I'm guessing she is "focusing".
Tea- That could be a challenge!
