For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Parking Passes

On Monday, 9/20 we can print our parking passes!!!

1. Go here http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp

2. Click 'Get Gate Pass' next to our PIR date (TG 46 — 10 Divisions (323–330, 821 & 946) Graduate Friday, Oct. 1, 2010)

3. You will need the password for your recruit's graduation (In your Form letter)

DO NOT POST YOUR PASSWORD ON THE PUBLIC FORUM AND DO NOT SHARE YOUR PASSWORD WITH ANYONE.

It is my understanding that you can print as many gate passes as you need.

Taken from the Form letter...''All visitors age 13 and over must have valid, government-issued photo identification (driver's license, passport, etc.) Children age 12 and under must have a copy of their birth certificates or Social Security card."

i believe it does, i am going to check with my agent in the morning, we took a trip to Fl one year a rented a car and did not take the extra ins. because our policy covered it.

TiffsMom. Make sure that if you are not going to purchase insurance with your rental car, that your private insurance covers it. You will have to ask your insurance agent for the information.

OK.. will call to make sure. I hope the rental car place will be open, I don't think we land untiil after 8:00 on Thurs night

I would bring you personal Insurance card, and check with the rental agency to get proof of insurance on the rental as well! Be double covered.

I was told, by a friend that travels, that your private car insurance will cover you....but, it will be a "ding" on your insurance if anything happens and you will be paying your deductibles! If you take their insurance it's there problem. I would double check with your insurance company to be sure...I am!!!

Cindy-SailorMom, I agree with you. When I rent a car, I always buy their insurance and it is a good thing I have. I got into a car accident with the rental car and I had bought insurance through the rental company. The car rental company tried to say that I had not purchased any insurance and were trying to charge me 6,000 dollars. They didn't get away with it because I had my rental receipt. They also tried to get money out of my own insurance company but that didn't work either.

question since my mom can't attend now she may either drop me off or i probably will be on the rental i should be okay with the insurance card that goes with the rental correct? i'm confused reading all of this!

When you rent a car from any company, just make sure to buy their insurance. Then if you are in a car accident, they can't harass you because you bought their insurance. It might cost you extra but it is worth it. Make sure you keep your rental agreement with you.

The Rental car company that I rented my car from (that time) were known for being crocked. That is why they gave me such a hard time when I got into the accident. Once they found out that I was a private renter and not with a large company, they treated me differently. I was lucky that I kept my renters agreement. They couldn't do a thing about getting me to pay the $6,000 dollars for repairs on a car that was obviously totaled. I bought full coverage.
