Rebecca - just wanted to say thanks for your help.  We are now on the frg, ombudsman's roster, and have Will's email and have had an email from him!  Wow...I wish other 'agencies' in life were that efficient.  Anyhow, you really helped me figuring out what direction to head.  We still don't have all the answers (and no one on the ship would have them yet), but we are definitely on the right path. stephanie

iloveluck  my son went thru SERE school about a year ago, he said the worst part was going without food, but after so many days without food you dont think about. I know  there were some things that he will not talk with us about, but your son will do just fine

Yes, I am on some Aircrew sites and have been watching for Sere comments.  My son will be with 8 other A school buddies of his (so that part will be good).  I have been viewing videos of SERE....and am aware of some of the scariness of it.  Yikes.  My prayer life will continue to be elevated!!

My son's new Navy wife is getting to spend the weekend with him.  Yeah.  (They just got married on Christmas leave)  They won't be together for at least 2 years.

I am "studying up" on SERE.  Anyone here had someone go through this training?

Comment by ilovelucy on January 27, 2011 at 7:10pm
Hi Rebecca.  Yes, it is.

I am sure the sight of that ship bringing your loved one to port is an awesome and tremendous sight!  Whew!  "TNPoliceWife".....I am not too far from you living in Elizabethton.  (Was in Knoxville Saturday).  "NavyMom"......warm feelings when I see another vehicle sporting this license tag!  I have seen a few lately.  "Wanda"....I just love that SKYPE!  My son hasn't had good internet reception in the last few months....but was great for a while.

My son just finished up with A School in Pensacola with graduation tomorrow.  Yeah!  But disappointed in that he won't be going to Jacksonville, Fl, as I had expected-----all the guys were surprised.  He will be going through SERE in April and then on to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City for C School.  He is in Aircrew.  Seems funny, though, that they will be going to an airforce base.  Rebecca----we have had too many deaths in our part of the state too, lately!
