Any one else have a son in S11/D122? I received my form letter a few days ago and have probably read the 4 comment lines a thousand times already. Graduation is supposed to be 4/8.

My tip is to buy your airline tickets now with insurance, in case you need to change the date. The closer you get to graduation day, the more expensive they get.

Every day I think "Today is the day that I will not cry" but it hasn't happened yet. I cried for the first three days when he started kindergarten, and he was only gone for half the day, lol. This is much harder than Kindergarten. Where did the time go?

Would love to chat with moms, spouses, girlfriends or anyone who is in the same division as my son :)

we received our daughters form letter and packet on friday, 2/19. she wrote us 4 little lines requesting us and her friends to write as much as possible. i guess that will be her only connection to the outside world until she graduates. we all miss her greatly. but we know that we will see her soon. she chose the navy and worked hard to get in and we respect her for that. what an accomplishment. we are all proud of her as you are of your son. hope to meet you on 04/08 at great lakes.
Good morning,
Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend! Sounds like we'll be getting letters by end of the week they have free time to do leisure activities, including writing letters, because of the holiday. Keeping my fingers crossed ;). Talk to you soon:)
jajajo, thank you for pointing me this way, wow..it was a trip getting here, smile. My son is in div 121, ship 11, so why is there a 122 same unit??
So is my daughter.  I have a discussion for ship11 div 121 look under the discussion forum view all and you'll find it with my picture.  Let me know if you have any questions :)
Hi peggy64, finally someone in the same division! Only 7 more weeks!!
Just wanted to say that you should read the fine print of any trip insurance as most will not cover changing a ticket for any reason other than medical.
Im driving since it will only be 5 hours me driving and then my husband drives the other 5 hours...I love driving....
My boyfriend is in Ship 11 Div. 122! I have been trying to find someone in the same divison and I finally have! Its hard for me because its getting closer to the day I get to see him but farther from the last time I saw him... I hope my boyfriend and you son are friends! My boyfriend is extremely friendly and will befriend just about anyone! Haha. :)
my daughter is in this division also. we have received a few letters and one phone call. the call was on tuesday afternoon. i'm glad i was home and not at work. she sounded good and upbeat. she said that they all have been working very hard.

My daughter is also in S11 D122. I can't wait for the mail every day hoping there'll be another letter! My daughter writes a lot, keeping me so informed. she hatedhatedhated being there the first couple of days! Now her letters are more uplifting, and I think she's proud of herself and her accomplishments. I loved talking to her on the phone! she cried at first, but it got better. she said the hardest thing so far is not being able to hug your friend when she's crying because she's homesick. Can't wait to see her on the 8th!

Glad a couple of you got a phone call, no call from my son yet :/
got a really long letter from my daughter on tues. the 8th. which was unusual for her. she's not the writing type. she said that we will see the difference in her on 04/08 because she is really growing up fast. as she said from a girl to a woman. i can tell because her writing style has changed and her sense of humor in her writing is outrageous. makes us laugh.  plus she ended the letter saying she had to go study because she had a big test the next morning. my husband laughed his butt off. he told me yeah she really is changing when did she ever say she had to study. she mentioned they are training in the pool really hard and physical training hard too. she was so happy to pass her swimming test on the first try. she is now a swimmer third class.she said her muscles were really sore. they are getting them ready for their running, push ups and sit up tests. also they got their uniforms and the parka or pea coat was really comfortable and warm. she said it was her best friend. being from florida our blood is really thin. she also mentioned that there were 87 strong in her division. also she is a grad and go probably leaving saturday morning if nothing changes.
