I have to laugh over the weather.  I was talking with my sailor today and he said sailors were already in shorts and short sleeve's because of the heat.  He said he hadn't even rolled up his sleeves yet, but we are from Yuma, AZ, which is probably the hottest part of the States outside of Death Valley.

Dang, Emily, don't those people know how to check the doppler radar?? Glad you made it home, we missed you! Enjoy your sailor, that's a nice long leave! If you figure out how to make it go by slow, please post the secret, we'd all like to know.

Hi Moms! :)

Hope everybody had a great weekend!

Aaron and I just made it back home (what a long 13 hour drive today was!). He's on leave until May 9th when he has to report to Prototype. He's all moved into his apartment and the furniture people are supposed to be there tomorrow (his roommate is there because he didn't take leave). :)

Power School graduation was a disappointment to me.. But the weather was at fault for that. When we arrived (about 8), it started to rain (again). The lady standing next to us told us that they had already moved it inside and then changed it back to out. So they put it back inside-- moved all of the officers and their families to another building, kicked out all the MMs and their families and told them they didn't have to be back until 9:45. They had a lot of people seated (barely any room in that room) at 8:58 when a big wig came on and said they were moving it BACK outside! Ugh. How frustrating!! Not to mention the MMs that walked up about 9:30 because they were told to muster back at 9:45.
Other than that it was pretty good. A little long. Oh, and then right as closing remarks started, it POURED down rain. So everyone went nuts and I was soaked--in a white dress.

We didn't really get any pictures with Aaron because he was soaked and extremely frustrated by this time...

Anyways. My trip was wonderful. I had a bad power school grad. experience, but it was great to know he was done none the less. I'll be posting pictures on my profile soon! :)

Hi everyone,  I've been reading all the posts & trying to get a feel for things.  My son said in one of his letters from BC that he got a lot of info about A school.  But did he share any of that info with his poor ignorant mom?  Are you kidding?  That might mean I would know something about his business.  He does write to me some of the goings on at BC and begs me to keep writing to him.  Maybe when I see him at PIR on 5/6 he will share a little.  I will probably be asking all you moms to help guide me through this.

Happy Easter, all!

I asked my son whether the galley was serving a special easter dinner, and he didn't know or care - he's not a fan of galley food. He was going to order a pizza. We skyped with him tonight, he sat in on the egg coloring festivities with my granddaughter while he folded his laundry. It was nice to be all together as a family. I'm pooped.

Hi All, My son called to wish us a Happy Easter this evening. He spent Saturday at the beach & had a great time. For Easter, he & several friends went to dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse.

Welcome Maddie,  Happy Resurection Sunday as we say in our Bible fellowship, where this morning we (Sailor included as he came home on leave Friday) enjoyed a breakfast, then it was a short drive to my brother's farm where we enjoyed a big potluck type dinner.  I still feel stuffed.  It is also hubby's B'day so he wants us to go to a Mexican place this evening where he can have a FREE b'day meal. Oh well tomorrow back to normal eating.  What a great weekend to have our son home.  Have a feeling it will go fast.
