As far as I was told, just finishing BC and A school , But as I said it takes a long time before the kids get their money.Just when you forget about it, thats when he got it.My guess she will be very lucky if she gets the check before Christmas.

Debi - was there anything he had to do to initiate the bonus money?  A form?  I've been told about a form, but nobody else in charge seems to know anything about from whose in charge anyway.  What does she have to do to get that?

My oldest son was a reservist, It;s true it really took a while for the bonus, I bet it was very close to a year, ( from the day that he went to BC) at least 8 months,  Sorry but it was a long..... time

Hi, Did anyone else have a son or daughter go to A School in SA for MA?  My daughter was supposed to get a sign on bonus.  She has been home since 6/4 and has had her first reserve weekend.  One guy has been out of A school for 6 months and he still doesn't have his sign on bonus!  Anybody know how you get that?  I saw it in her contract.  Her officers keep telling her it takes time.

I think everyone is different.  For Nukes, A School lasts 6 months and then you move on to Power School and then Prototype.  A total of a year and a half or so.  My son has 6 years in the Navy.:)  I guess everyone is different, depending on your specialty.

I hope you're all doing well.  What has happened to all the sailors who went to A schools-do they keep moving or is that months long?  For those of us in spec ops, some got rolled back (including mine) due to big class sizes.  A little disappointing, but more time to train.

Hi Everyone!  So glad to see the updates and that your Sailors are doing so well.  We just got back from a cross country trip to South Carolina to visit our son who is in A School there.  He is also doing really well.  We purchased him a car there so now he has more freedom.  No more taxis!!  It is always so hard to say goodbye.  I try not to let the tears flow until he is out of sight.  On the final evening there my daughter met a Sailor and wants to return to SC in August.  I think I am going to go broke!  Take care everyone and keep the updates coming!!
