Praying for you and the SRs going through BS tonight.

My son said the capping ceremony was "crazy awesome and very emotional".They played Lee Greenwood Proud to be an American. So you'll have an idea of what it was like go to You Tube and play it. Now that will make you cry an d gives you a sense of what it was like for them.

To any of the moms still checking in on this site-My SR will finally get to go to battlestations tomorrow night.  I'd like to ask for prayers and lit candles for him. He has worked so hard for this and has kept such a hopeful and faithful attitude despite his setbacks that I am so amazed at the strong man he has become. Also, he reported to me on Sunday that he no longer has any blood in his urine and was given a clean bill of health.  I love all of you girls!

YES Luvnsupport! it was so good to meet you, too, and to know that our Sailors are such good buddies! I'm thankful you figured it out before the weekend was over! Sorry your flight home was such a mess....ugh! I know you wouldn't trade your time with him for the world. : ) Take care.

Checking in from a lovely PIR weekend.  It was such a treat to be able to spend all three days with my sailor.  MamaCindy: so nice meeting you and your family!

I guess there were a lot of travel delays!  I had a not-so-fun trip back too.  Stuck on a plane with no air.  Then we were taken off the plane since people were getting antsy and the mechanical problems needed to be fixed.  Then waiting and more waiting to see what would happen.  Then they cancelled the flight and trying to rebook us all was a nightmare.  Needless to say, lack of sleep and not making it to work---not fun.  But I wouldn't trade it for the world! It was a wonderful weekend!

So happy I was able to meet some of you and/or your sailors, and wishing all our sailors a safe and exciting journey together:)

I don't know if she's on here, but I would like to send a BIG thank you to the mom of the recruit religious petty officer for Div. 205. Her family took my son out to eat after PIR. It was so good to know that he was not alone and having fun celebrating graduating boot camp. It was a big blessing to him and to me.
