Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Hey all, just a suggestion. Almost right next to Sarge's M&G is Buffalo Wild Wings.
However I must admit, the lights, music and fun video games, after not seeing it for 8 weeks would probably cause your sailors head to explode. I'd video tape their face. Fun memories...

Congrats to all who received their calls!
Huntersmom- Your son is in my prayers. I hope he gets good news soon about graduating!
Yesterday was amazing with receiving my boyfriend's call...but today was even better. Got two calls from him today. Feeling spoiled :)
Can't wait to get on our 6am flight tomorrow morning. Thought this weekend would never come. Only one more day!
Thank you to the veteran mom's for all of your wisdom and help. This site and this group really did help me stay calm and positive through these past 8 weeks.

Make sure you have RSVP'd to Sarges meet and greet if you are going. He needs a head count to know how much food to order!!! There is a button to RSVP on the event page.

I want to remind you all that PIR is only the beginning of your Sallors' Navy journey. Stay plugged in here as there are lots of groups for A school, C school, ratings (jobs), ships, bases, states, regional, twins & multiples, and the Christian Chat that I am a member of~~ Traveling mercies and blessings to all!!
P.S. After PIR, the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command facebook page posts many photos of each PIR. Maybe you'll spot your Sailor and can download these pics onto your own computers~~

My heart goes out to you Huntersmom. I have a question that I don't know if you can answer on this forum, Veteran Moms due to security issues. I tried to research this on line first and came up blank... What all is done for the 'fit for duty' status? I did not realize they all get CT Scans at boot camp.

I got my call, and my heart is full..I am only so thankful for all of you please know you have all made a difference in me getting threw this. My Son made sharp shooter and scholastic with one more suprize up he's sleeve. We don't know what it is but excited to find out. I'm going to miss this. May our Sailors be blessed and protected.
