Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

If 153 & 154 are brother divisions shouldn't they earn yhe same things?? I am hoping flagged means they got honor flags and that is a good thing somebody anybody please tell us what flagged means. Praying its something good
Comment by Krista on April 17, 2014 at 11:07am
I believe they receive flags as awards (hence they are "flagged") that they March with....because they have received all their flags, they can march independently. And they are very proud of this accomplishment and honor....

Programs I'm in the same boat... I'm gonna try n find out what "flagged" means on this websites page in what certain words mean :/ my hubby is in 154 and last time he wrote he said they were all getting along great, minus one guy unfortunately that no one likes :(
Besides that, he sounded like there were great!
P.S he didn't tell me who the guy was so hopefully no ones son here :)

Does anyone know what ship 13 div 151 is doing now? I'm confused with all of this
Comment by my3luv1-Ship 11 Div 153 PIR 4/25 on April 17, 2014 at 11:02am
According to my SR, 153 received all the flags and pennants for all important task. They will allowed to march in without their RCD and sing a special cadences at PIR. This an honor for them.

Annie, that's awesome news about your son. My son is in the brother DIV(152). Does that mean that they will be doing BS at the same time?
I am praying for all of our SR! This long journey is finally coming to an end for them and for us. With this being Holy Week and Passover, may God be with them and give them the strength they all need to get through this.
Comment by PeaCoatMama on April 17, 2014 at 10:44am

Annie72, actually reading they are starting BS just gave me teary eyes and chills. Even though we know it is coming confirming it means this journey is almost over. I will say a special prayer for them and all the recruits as I always do today! One week from today is that special day we have all been waiting on!!! NMH we have this now!
