Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Ephesians 6:10

This is a verse that I have been leaning on quite a bit lately.  As mothers, wives, women who support our sailors and our loved ones, it seems part of our job description is 'strong'.  Be strong, be, encouraging, be nice, be an advocate, be comforting, be wise, be happy, be smart, be be be.  While I can't think of anything else I would rather 'be', there have been moments when I sneak away and cry, alone in what I believe is my selfishness, asking 'who will be strong for me?'  Jesus is my answer!  He holds me up, gives me the words, the kindness, the love, the cheer, the ability to continue.  He understands me and yet He still loves me.  Me!  Of all people!  His mighty power gives me the strength.  Thank you Jesus!

God bless and protect all our military on our bases.  Prayers for all the families affected by the devastating shooting at Fort Hood today. Prayers for healing for the at least 8 wounded, 4 very seriously.

PSALM 91:2-7  I will sayof the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."  Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. 4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fearthe terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
