NAVY CHALLENGE COINS:  As we find info on the coins we can post it here so it's easy for everyone to find.

So we know that NotDaMama found this coin at Power School Graduation.  Hopefully at the next graduation in October someone will find them again and can pick up some extras for others to purchase.  My son has PS graduation in December and if I don't find one before that time then I will definitely be on the lookout and purchase extras.

Also, Craig on the DEP site sells coins on Ebay - go to pirgifts.com and you can also purchase them at NavyOutfitters.com.  You can also go to Northwest Territorial Mint at NWTmint.com.

ktrsb - your design sounds good! I'm looking forward to the finished product. Thanks again for taking this on.
Ktrsb You found the pics :) ... Im still going to nag him to post exactly where to find them on the base.

I like your idea of adding the cutlasses ... A sailors weapon of defense if boarded or boarding another ship... Makes me think of old Sinbad the Sailor/Mutiny on the Bounty type of movies and my hubby likes saying "when ships were made of wood and men were made of steal"; whenever we watch those movies... Can't wait to see your finished coin and I bet a lot of us will want one too.

Fingers crossed and Good Luck !

BS Prototype challenge coins.  Thank Mrs. NDM

The Balliston Spa Nuclear Prototype challenge coin is only available on base, so your sailor has to get it, from a glass case, controlled by YN1 Daly, on the second floor of the Admin. Building. They are nice coins.

OK, for anyone following along.  OPSEC, PLEASE!!!!!

The coins are very close to being available.  The design is final and they are outstanding. They are unique and instantly recognizable as belonging to the nuke pipeline.  They are generic and I think appropriate for BS or GC, surface or sub, enlisted or officer.  I am very happy with them.

They are very personal, very special, and I zealously want to guard the fact of their existence because they are going to be a surprise for a few sailors. I have a limited number.  They have a small space for very limited engraving that you must have done yourself.

The price will be very reasonable. I have never done anything like this so you MUST HAVE PATIENCE WITH ME.  They will NOT ship before Easter.  Any requests for images will have to wait until then.

Please let me know if you are still interested in a delivery around the end of April.  Obviously this is just to plan, and is not a commitment in any way. Right now I have expressions of interest from B'sNukeMom, MN Mom of MM, reneec, Wendy4Cody, Mrs. NDM, and NJ NAvy Mom Ship 03 Div 115.

Thank you for your patience.  I think they will be well worth the wait.

I'm so glad you are still doing this and I definitely want to purchase one! Keep me posted. Can't wait to see them ;-)

Yes...I would love one for my sailor if you have enough...Thank you!

Yes - I am still in.  I would like one.

I want one. do we have to get them now or will you have them for the August 1st Power school graduation?

Hi KTRSB, Yes I want one...I know the coin is going to be fantastic looking...Thank You for doing this...
I would like one too! Thanks!

Hi, I just noticed this discussion.  Is it too late for me to put in my request?  I would like to have 2, please, one each for my son and daughter.  Thanks so much for doing this!!

I am looking for this exact challenge coin to buy for when my son graduates from Power School in June. If anyone has an extra, I'd be happy to buy it from you! Just reply here or on the Facebook Nuke group...Thank you!
