whoop, whoop for Sharon! Mine passed BS last night! So happy.
He passed this morning!!!!!
Arkey and everyone, thank you so much for the info etc. I feel alot better just knowing something, LOL. He did get a call yesterday and called his girlfriend, she said he seems to be handling everything well and is within 15 seconds now as opposed to a minute two weeks ago. He told her he thinks he should get it this week I sure hope so. Going to give him a hard time for calling his GF instead of me, but am proud of him and his decision to stick with it rather than get discouraged and walk away, for all of the SR's in FIT I gotta say it takes dedication to their choice to serve to not give up, and I have alot of respect for their efforts and their character, not sure about you other Moms, but I know my SR is a character LOL.
Sharon, if you know if he has under a minute on his run use this address
Ship 4 Div 2347 use Div 2444 if he has over a minute
3600 Ohio Street Great Lakes, IL 60088-7103
Sharon, I call a call today. He is in 2347. They did a practice pta, a 20 minute sustain run that's about it. They can write/mail letters everyday and get a phone call every 2 weeks. They sleep from 9 to 6 and they have a real mattress to sleep on instead of hard foam. They get up eat breakfast the do PT and run every other day. There is some exercise equipment like stationary bikes. They have a PTA every M-W-F. There are not very many SR's in his division
well, my son got a call today, he apparently used it to call his girlfriend lol. So I still know nothing of the program, ugh.
Does anyone know if they can write or call more often in FIT? Or does anybody know what they do on a daily basis? Do they have an RDC or are they on their own most of the time?
sharon sorry you son is in fit but you will both get through this. It is somtimes harder on the family then the sailor. See about 2 messages down about the mailing address. Has his pir passed already? They normally test 3 times a week. mon, wed, fri. once he passes he may be able to call. Some get to some do not. Not sure why. Then he will have to do battlestations on the next available date. So just keep sending letters of encouragement and write on it now in fit so maybe it will get transfered to fit sooner. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Soooo glad I found this finally, I have been wrecked since last Monday when my son told me he failed his run. It's been over a week and I have searched the internet trying to find anything to at least know about the program and oddly even though I have been a member on here since my oldest went through two years ago, this is the first I looked. Oldest is still in and a Corpsman, he didn't do FIT. If anyone has a minute could you please give me a quick rundown on how this works, I am just dying for my son this has got to be devastating for him and I don't even know where to send a letter for encouragement, I wrote to Public Affairs Office and they decided not to answer. Thanks in advance
