For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Stephanie: Sat/Sun does not count in their training week/day schedule nor do holidays. It is possible that today is 2-1, however, judging by when they should be doing BattleStations, I think you may be a day or 2 ahead in the count. Today should be 1-4 or maybe 1-5 by my count.

My SR is Ship O3 Div 190 and when I spoke to him on Saturday he said he was week 1 day 3. I didn't know if Saturday and Sunday counted but after reading another post I think today would be week 2 day 1???? I am hoping to receive a letter soon that might give more clues! I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Hi everyone, I just had a PANIC feeling when I clicked on my friend requests on this site. It said I had 2550 friend requests lol. Oh my goodness, I was freaking out, how on earth would I respond to all of them lol. I clicked off that link and then went back to it and there were only 6. Much easier to deal with lol. I welcome all the friend requests, but I admit I was glad there weren't over 2500 all at once :) haha

How accurate is the Day for Day : What happens at bootcamp site? Does anyone know what day Ship 03, Division 190 is on today or tomorrow?

I just don't understand.
I missed his first call because my phone didn't ring for whatever reason. Instead I got an 11sec voicemail informing me he arrived, he would write in 2wks and would call in 2wks.
I'm even having dreams of missing his phone call. It's driving me up a wall.

Ashley, Look forward to a call at anytime, but never expect a call. The "usual" calls are, "I am here", "I am still alive" (which is the call your friend is talking about), and the "I am a Sailor". Any calls in addition to that are a gift!
We have seen divisions getting more calls than the usual three, but that doesn't mean everybody will. Additional calls can/may be earned, but they can be taken away as fast as they are given through no fault of the recruit who has earned it.

I'm getting frustrated. My friend who is a current Navy wife, and also went through RTC herself, is telling me I won't hear from my SR until mid-May. :-( What??
Everyone else is getting phone calls now, so why would mine not come for 3wks??
I'm so confused. I've read all of the phone rules and such. That doesn't help the anxiety that comes from not knowing. I'm pregnant and overwhelmed. I just want to hear my husband's voice. :-(

Got my call and ship/division info. My SR is on ship 9, division 192.
So glad to hear his voice and get a chance to cheer he and his shipmates on!
