For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Matts.mom: It is possible that 191/192 are on the same training day as 189/190 are. In that case, today would be 2-1, I think. Remember there are only 6 actual training weeks. The rest of the time in bootcamp is from processing days before training begins and then "down" time after BattleStations before PIR.
NavyMom: No, they do not asmo divisions, but will threaten that. They asmo individuals. If they are threatening to asmo a section of a division, it is to motivate them to work as a team and get it passed.

Anyone know the training day for Ship 09 Div 192? I received 2 letters yesterday (Yay!!) from my SR, but no mention of what day they were on.

diannep can a whole division , or section of a division , be asmoed for not passing inspection?

To be asmoed means setback in training. This can be for many reasons....sickness, injury, test failure, discipline, etc. They are assigned a new PIR group when this happens.

You're welcome. :-) I'm glad my SR is being kept busy. He can't sit in the same spot for very long without becoming extremely restless. lol It's probably helping or SRs to pass the time more quickly. I just wish I had something to keep ME busy. lol

diannep thanks for the clarification on training days for Ship03, Division 190! I received a letter today written on Easter . Does anyone know how this division is doing ? It seems they were scheduled for an important inspection today that had serious consequences if they did not pass it. I'm assuming this is part practical and part mental game.
