Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 167 and 168

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Gma, where are you staying when you go up there for graduation.  I booked us at the Ramada about 4 miles from base but it sounds like a lot of people are recommending the Navy Lodge off base.

I booked at the Ramada too. I know another couple that attended a graduation about a month ago and that's where they stayed; they suggested it to me. I'll be coming in from Oregon on the 8th.

That's great!  We'll becoming in on the 8th as well and the Meet and Greet should be close to the hotel I think?

I'm starting to get obsessive about missing him.  He had four wisdom teeth pulled last Wednesday and we've not heard from him.  No news is good news I'm told so I'm holding on to that :)

I know the feeling. I've never been away from my grandson for this length of time but know I've got to get use to it; he's a man now and moving forward as he should. He had 3 wisdom teeth pulled and said it at least gave him a chance to study some more. He seems really upbeat so that makes things easier for me. Like everyone here, I'm counting the days until graduation.
Maryellen, where is your grandson going to A school? Mine is going to Pensacola.

He's going to Charleston, SC in the Nuke Program.  At least that's the plan and I haven't heard anything different. Thanks for the encouragement about your grandson having his wisdom teeth pulled.  Makes me feel a little better.  Do they all have bad wisdom teeth or is it routine to rip 'm out in bootcamp? lol

I know, I was wondering what the navy had against wisdom teeth too :) I'd bet that it's just easier to rip them out now than wait for them to go bad when they're out to sea. Nuke program, good for him! My father began his 30 year career on the old subs and spent the last half on nukes. It can be a great opportunity for your grandson.
Hi! My son is Div 167. This is my first time posting. I had technical difficulties getting signed up. But finally on here. I am so excited for PIR. We fly in on the 8th. Looking forward to making connections on here and meeting everyone in May. Missing my son more and more.
My son is also in 03/167. Other divisions are reporting their sons have contracted pink eye. Has anyone's recruit in 167 reported having it?

Did anyone from 03 Div 168 hear from their SR this week?

Division 168!

Does anyone have a group photo of 167?
