Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 261 and 262

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Tell her it gets better and she only has a few weeks left after bootcamp things are so much better. My daughter is division 261 made some great friends.

I'm looking forward to meeting other moms and families!  My son is in Division 262.  When he called yesterday, he said he was having his wisdom teeth removed.  Hope he's doing well.

My son is in Division 262 as well.  He talked me into having his wisdom teeth removed two weeks before he left for boot camp!  Good luck with your son's recovery.  Hope it's a speedy one!

Thank you, pinkcanary!  Hopefully I get another letter this week, and he lets me know how he's doing.  It's so hard not being able to talk to them on a regular basis.

I got my 1st letter today!  My daughter says that that they have 2 of the highest Senior Chiefs and they are working extra hard to make "The Hall of Fame" She said it is a bit of extra pressure.  She said the food is AWESOME.  It was a positive and upbeat letter. She also said they can only write on Sunday.

:)  Exactly what my letter said from my son!  He wants me to do some research into their RDC - he thinks he is quite the guy and has turned out the most hall of fame divisions!  Son seemed very proud to be a part of this division.

Yay! I got my first real letter today!  It was short, but he wrote, and it did make me laugh a bit.  He basically told me about the fitness tests that they've been doing.

We've received two personal calls from our girl and 8 letters!! Yeah!! She is Ship 03/Div 261. She says the food is really good and they get about 4/5 hours of sleep. My girl says the girls on her ship do not work as a team (everyone wants to lead and none want to follow) and, as a result,  they were punished by severe ITEs. She says most girls were weeping after these exercises. My SR is from Ohio and she has made good friends from Arizona and Minnesota. Support and prayers for all our SRs. I'm sure this is all part of the process to the end result - Sailors!!!

ROOHOO My daughter is from Lake Havasu Arizona and met a girl from Ohio and another one from AZ. I told her about your post and she asked me what your daughters name is. but they pretty much only go by last names. I told her I don't know.

Soccermom2 we spend most of our weekends during the summer in Lake Havasu...we live in SoCal! My son is in Ship 03/Div 262! Hope to meet you at PIR or in Havi :)

Tera,

One of my really good friends lives in Havasu, I think she's lived there for about a year now, maybe longer.  She also moved from So. Cal.  So, Cal is where I am from originally.

My son is also in Div. 262.  I hope that I get to meet many of you wonderful ladies on the 22 of August.

my daughter is also ship 3 div 261 and from ohio. she has also written about how others dont work as a team and had IT'd. she has told me of all her new friends and is excited bc is about done. will be nice to meet the other families at PIR
