Got to talk with him couple times at airports in Richmond and Chicago. Got scripted call at 11pm that night. Can't wait for the box and form letter with address. Have started writing letters already. So proud!

Same here. Call came in at 1 am- glad we spoke several times from the airports earlier in the evening. Got the letter writing campaign going just waiting for his address.
Got both his box and letter in the mail today. Already made a trip to the post office to drop letters in the mail. Can't wait to hear from him again soon!

Ship 11 Div 284. Anyone else's kid in the ship/div?

Just found out my son is also 11/284!  So excited I also have another in boot camp that graduates 8.22.14 and he is 11/255, so they are in the same ship - just different levels.  So they might actually see each other besides Church!

Wow! Two at the same time! My son also ship 11 div 284.

We are also Ship 11 Div 284!!!  :-)

Hi Tonysmom - Sean is also ship 11 Div 284! I sent him a letter yesterday and today!
Yes! My son Sean also ship 11 div 284. We're from VA. I've dropped letters at PO also!

My son got there on the 15th as well, called his wife (who luckily lives with us during this time), looking forward to getting to know everyone.  I also have a son who has been there since June 23rd, so they are literally "ships passing".  I'm hoping to sneak a peak at this son's division marching when we are there for the first PIR in August... I wish I could take pics but I know that would be a major no-no ;)

My daughter arrived at boot camp on 7/15/14 as well.  We got our phone call about 11pm that night also.  She sounded very scared and nervous.  Her voice was very shaky and stuttering.  We also started writing letters everyday.  I can't wait to get her address so I can send those letters to her.  I'm missing her and the house is very strange without her around.  Our middle daughter was setting the table for us and a couple of friends and she set it for 7.  We told her there's only 6 of us and you should have seen the look on her face.  It was almost like it just hit her that she wasn't home.  The thing that is keeping me going is that I know she is in the safest place she could be right now and I know she is ok.  I can't wait to here from her in a couple of weeks!

My son got there on the 15th as well.  I am anxiously awaiting the letter so I can start sending some letters and maybe hear back from him. :)

Check your My Page.

My son arrived to boot camp on the 15th called when he got to Chicago, received the scripted phone call about midnight and received his box on Friday the 18th. Now waiting on the formal letter to set up my travel plans
