Welcome Cynthia!

We loved the Pali Overlook and rented a house right down the road from there.

This is the company we rented from.

But basically it was months of research on the internet to finally narrow down what we needed and where we wanted to stay.

PALI LOOKOUT

Welcome Cynthia! see Pali Lookout! Just off the highway it's a breathtaking historic viewpoint. Lots of info above too, on visiting Oahu, in our "library" of references. Be sure to click on "view all" -there's several pages. We rented a private home, so have not stayed in a hotel or inn there, yet.

Noisy and touristy in Waikiki!!!

Welcome to the group. A lot of people have been there and have advice. Look above and there is some info at the top of the comment wall.

Our family has stay at the Marine base by K-Bay. The trick there is your sailor has to sign you in. And you do have to be  background checked....was just implemented in April. Then when your sailor is at work or busy you can come and go as you please.

So much to see and so much to do.Love it there!

Rent a car!! You can get them cheap if you play the internet game.

Do your home work online....it will be worth it.

Hi my name is Cynthia, I'm new to this group, my daughter is stationed in Hawaii. I'm planning my first trip to see her from California. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice where I can stay. Any tips or advice will be truly appreciated. Thanks!

mrsb I googled I-DIV and it said it was something to do with yet another class that prepares them before they are sent to their boat.  One of my son's buddies said he better enjoy it there because it is not so comfy or fun once they go to their boat! Nothing to worry about.  Just another class on subs. :)

I hope, right? Lord have mercy.  I really am trying to calm myself up when I say these things because I have no idea what they go through and they can't share!

I leave it all in Your Hands oh Lord! God bless them all!

Big hug to all!!!

bmello - It's through ITT (Information Tickets and Travel).  The location we used was on Kaneohe Base - the marine base.  You can google it and it will give you more information.

Hi bmello if you go down just @ 4 posts Pam wrote that she and her family bought tickets for tourist attractions through the travel agency on base. Maybe she or someone else can add a little more info. for you?
