OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 241 and 242

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My wonderful fiancé is in this division as well it's nice to see that everyone else in his div is doing good!

I've seen those trivia questions on their f.b page! Do they really post a picture of them??!
Definitely, going to try this Tuesday!
Me too, that would be so great to see their faces!

Hello Ladies!! My son in in Div 241. I hope everyone had a nice July 4th!!

has anyone got a call in DIV 241 since July 3?

I got a call Sunday, as well, for the same reason...it had been 10 days between calls. Yes, this will be a busy week. He told me Battlestation 21 was going to be like a game. I think he said it was going to happen week 7 day 4. Getting so excited about PIR!

My sr is in div 242 he said he won't be able to call after his battle stations :(

My son is in division 242. I haven't gotten a phone call for 2 weeks.  Every Wednesday I get a letter.

Just FYI for division 241, they will have battlestations July 31.  Light your blue candles!!

You aren't allowed to write when battle stations will be. :( you can send private messages but not on a open board for anyone to see. It's a rule to get us use to not talking about ships movement once our SRs are out in the fleet. I hope this doesn't come across as harsh, it's not intended that way, but it's an OPSEC rule.

ok sorry didn't know that i can't remove it now

Just 14 days to go! Is everyone ready? Last week was Hell Week. My SR said 242 is still ranking high.

Excited for them, to go for that division award.
