~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

...I don't want to mislead by my comment below....everyone gets Liberty on Friday after PIR (although those moving over to GL for A School will be delayed since they move right after PIR and it takes a few hours...you pick up your sailor on that base then for Liberty until later that night).  Those with sailors flying out most likely will only have Liberty on Friday with them, since most will be bussed to the airports later that night to wait for Saturday flights (you can meet them at the airports).  Occasionally they may not fly out until Sunday though so try and plan your own return accordingly so you don't miss time with your sailor!

GL A School sailors will have Liberty Fri, Sat and Sun, starting early morning and ending around 9 or 10 pm.

ArmywifeNavymom:  Liberty is only after PIR on Friday.  You will not be able to see your sailor until PIR.    The "special event" on Thurs night is Sarge's MeetandGreet, held for the families of the sailors.  His info is located to the left of this page, toward the bottom, under the EVENTS section.

Good Morning!

KPs Mom:  There is an 800 division in this group which always causes some confusion in when all go through BattleStations because the 800 division can go any night---there is an order for the other divisions.  They can never have more than 4 divisions go a night; sometimes just 2 go and when the 900 division goes through, it is usually with 2 more divisions.  Soo.....my guess is that 241 will go either Thurs night or the beginning of next week.  Just not sure.

A reminder here that if anyone knows specific dates for BattleStations, please do not post that here.....not allowed.  You can post that you have a date for Div ___ and let others friend request/message you for it.  We have been told to keep specific BattleStations dates for the divisions off of the public sites, just allowed to be private messaged.

Thanks Dianne! Great info! He is in 241 so will his division most likely go on Thursday night?
Comment by diannep on July 28, 2014 at 8:46pm

KPs Mom:  The first divisions will go through this Thurs night, calling after 2pm Central on Friday.  There are no BattleStations on Fri or Sat nights, and usually not Sun night either lately.  Sat morning, they will do Captains Cup (their PIR group), fun athletic competition between the divisions.  The other divisions resume BattleStations on Monday night of PIR week and most likely will be finished Tues night/Wed morning with the final divisions.
