Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 259 and 260

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Oh my goodness! I got a call from my SR again this morning. He had to go do something for his security clearance and when he was done they let him make a call. What a surprise that was! I'm so glad that I took my phone with me while I was walking (13 miles today!) He said that his RDC's are pretty cool and really hopes he gets to stay with them. He had a couple of ingrown toenails removed and is concerned that they may give him some problems. I was told he put a letter in the mail on Sunday, so I can't wait to get my first handwritten note from him! Hearing from him definitely put a little skip in my step and made my walk so much happier!!!

DMansMom..... very cool that you got a call and very cool that you walked 13 miles! You go girl!  I also carry my phone out and around like a nursing baby!  Just in case.. Unlike you, I have not gotten so lucky.  What ship and Div is your Sailor in?

He's Ship 14 Div 259. Since we got a quick call on Saturday, I didn't think we'd hear from him again until next weekend, maybe! I guess I was lucky and I've definitely learned to always have my phone on me.....no matter what!!  :-)

Any mom's Ship 14 Div 260--has anyone heard from their SR?

Moonchild, I have not yet.

Thanks Bensma---like to keep tabs so i know if there might be something on the way. thank you also for the friends request. I am trying to make contact with parents of sailors in the same division.--best regards

I heard from my husband because the recruiter didn't fax over some of the right information for my son to be put on insurance. He said that they should be making their first calls this weekend-no promises, but I hope that helps you! :)

My son is also on Ship14 division 260. And I am told they are going to the same school after BC!!

my son is Ship 14 div 260, got a call the 1st night and then about 2 weeks in. had to do some security clearance paper work and since he was the only one there they let him call for 5 min. Have not got another call since. :(   if they are getting calls he better not be calling his GF instead of his momma lol

My son is Divison 14 Ship 260. I received a letter today!!! He had to have his wisdom teeth pulled even though he had no trouble with them before he left. I hope to have a call soon. He is a strong individual though parts of that letter made me cry and parts made me laugh. But I am a mom and he sees things differently. He is no longer my boy but well on his way to being a man.

wow..mitzi sue..that is good news for the rest of us ship 14 div 260 moms!!..thank u so much for posting!!

Also I think the calls and letters might be a little behind because the 4th of July they decided to one the windows in their barracks to watch fireworks and that's a no no
