DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

What does the 4-1 mean?

Sierrascrapper:  I sent you BattleStations info in a friend request.  Don't hit "accept" or the info goes away!

Comment by diannep on August 1, 2014 at 11:24am

Sierrascrapper:  Your division should be in the first group doing BattleStations.  Looks like they may be having 4 divisions going through the first night.

Comment by diannep on August 1, 2014 at 11:22am

Mstink:  Your division should be in Training Week 3, starting 4 next week.

My son posted in his letter that for Div 267 and 268, they would be on 4-1 today (Friday).

Thanks diannep...I know he got there on a tues. & said it was the following tues before their div even got started so I'm thinking Tuesdays is right... Just wasn't sure if 3 or 4! Maybe if I keeping asking every letter I'll find out before PIR!!!! Ha ha!! What I DO know is....our young SRs are staying strong and making us proud to be a Navy Mom!!

proudnavywife&mom:  Training Day 1 each week can be adifferent weekday depending on the division....but you are correct that once you know which day of the week it is for your division, it stays that same weekday each week, unless there is a holiday (there isn't in this case).

MOM MasterofMotivation:  A division will not be setback in training, but individuals within a division can be.  A division will graduate on time.

Congrats on the letters received today!

@sierrascrapper just saw you posted you got mail today, such a great feeling! I too cannot wait for my boys graduations.
Comment by MAMA_C on July 31, 2014 at 9:29pm

When I spoke to my son on Monday, he mentioned it is suppose to be 3-1.  He was worried about be set-back because of the 2 penalties the div had.
