That would be awesome if they all ended up knowing each other. We just celebrated his 19th birthday and I sat there thinking next year who knows where he will be.. Thank God for the internet so hopefully I will be able to contact him that way. Has your son been working out much.I know you mentioned he is still in high school my son graduated last year. He works full time and works out 2 times a day to prepare himself for whats ahead. I'm so proud of the man he is becoming.

What State are you in ? I'm in California so he will leave out of San Diego on the 12th.

I'm originally from Buena Park!

My son also leaves that day! I am excited for him and scared for him. All I. An say is to just be supportive.

Amen!

Hello all, My son leaves on August 12th, too.  This is my 3rd go round with this, though.  He has an older brother who left 3 years prior to be a Marine & another who also left 3 years ago who is a Sailor.  Each one very different jobs ("rates") brings different adventures along with them.  Looking forward to another journey.

My daughter is also leaving Augusta 12. I don't think I have ever experienced as many emotions as I am now as graduation and her leave date gets closer. I am so proud and so scared at the same time. I am trying to keep all this in check because I know she also has to be experiencing this as she is going thru so many milestones at once.

101 days til our deppers leave! Not that I'm counting or anything;)

My youngest son leaves for BC on the 12th also. My middle son left on June 17th. Just got his address today. This is all so emotional for us parents.

3tboys I don't think I could do two at once.  You are going to be a pro though.  Mind leaves August 25th.  I will probably have questions you'll be able to answer soon.  :)  How are you holding up?

2 at the same time... that is a lot for one Mama to go through... WOW it took about 10 days before you got an address for him.Not gonna lie I think that is going to be the worst for myself and his little brother (7yrs old) .. as the days get closer I find myself an emotional mess. My boy has been my world for so long the idea of him leaving home is hard enough for me knowing he isn't just moving down the street. Don't get me wrong I am so proud of him and I am so happy his life plan wasn't to Live with me forever but still... Stay Strong NAVY MOM! :)

My Son is also shipping out on August 12th.  I am going thru alot of different emotions.  He is very excited.  Mom is getting more and more nervous as the date gets closer and closer.  Nice to meet you all.

My son leaves the 11th. I think that if they decided this is their career path that we've already prepared them for moving on and making their way in this world. All we can do is be supportive and encouraging and trust that they'll be fine.
