DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Allison Ang's Mom - I believe today would be 3-3 for Div 271 & 272. Their new weeks start on Wednesdays is what my Sr told me.

Diannep...WISH I had stopped here before I saw that friend request!  DOH!  I have been away from using the internet most of the day and just checked in and saw that I had emails etc and started there before checking here.  It just figures.  I sent you a PM.  If you need another way to contact me, let me know and I will find an alternative.  SORRY :(

I have been asking in letters and on the phone what week my daughter is in. She has not really answered me, she arrived 7/7... Does anyone know what week she would be in?

Bootcamp Week 8, Training Week 7.  Remember, there are on average 8 Bootcamp Weeks, but only 6 Training weeks (they PIR during what would have been the 7th).  No change on the PIR date unless a SR is setback!  Processing Days when they arrive and a few "down days" between the conclusion of BattleStations and PIR account for the missing days!

@diannep...ok I'm sorry..I'm a little confused..when I look at the What are they doing in Boot Camp...if they are just starting week 4 next week then their graduation date is going to be in week 7...not week 8...is that right???

nurse0419,

4-1 means week 4, day 1 in the training calendar.  See "What ARE They Doing in Boot Camp? Synopsis, Videos, and Day-by-Day Account..."  up in Pages section on the upper right.  Lots of info on these Pages~~  The day-by-day is a general guideline~~
