Congratulation to your son...it has been a long journey but now for the "real" navy to begin....our sailor has joined his ship about 2 months ago after 1 1/2 years and is deployed in the Med...my husband has a chance to do a Tiger Cruise on his way back to port for 3 days....Hope all is well with you and your family...take care...T

I gotta say; our Sailor finished tech finally and we have never been so happy. It's been a long journey (1 1/2 years after PIR), and finishing at last is a great accomplishment. Plus, what better place than beautiful San Diego. Easy to get around and lots to do in a vibrant city. Now he is at his first homeport waiting a short time to officially board his ship. Our Sailors are working toward a wonderful goal!

Can't wait until my son gets out of bootcamp and moves on to the next chapter. He's looking forward to being back in CA.
